Season Two is already underway, and it’s off to an awesome start! First things first, it’s about time that they fixed Starfire’s (the gorgeous Anna Diop) hair. She finally looks like the beautiful princess that she is. *Clap Clap* I just had to get that out of the way.
This season starts off where season one ended. Trigon(Seamus Dever) is still trying to break his daughter’s, Rachel/Raven’s(Teagan Croft), heart and start an apocalypse on Earth. If you haven’t watched season one, Trigon is a demon entity that can’t enter Enter, and start an apocalypse, unless his daughter brings him there. Once she brings him to Earth, the only way he can remain is unless he breaks her heart. Whelp, he’s definitely not getting any father of the year awards!
This leads to the Titans(Dick Grayson/Nightwing, Wonder Girl, Starfire, Robin/Jason Todd, Gar/Beast Boy, Hawk and Dove) coming together and preparing to kick some Demon God’s ass. This didn’t work out as they imagined, as Trigon quickly corrupted them all..
Of course he still doesn’t succeed, and ends up making his daughter even more powerful, just for her to use that power to stop him! It was a great magical battle, but Trigon should’ve known his daughter’s human side would prevail! It’s what makes us humans so great – we’re emotional and stubborn beings.
After the magical showdown, the Titans decide to split up, for now. Now, a little more happened than that, but I don’t want to spoil everything for you guys – I want you guys to check it out when you have time!
Dick Grayson(Brenton Thwaites) Rachel, Beastboy(Ryan Potter) and Robin(Curran Walters) decide to kick ass together, and they form their own Titans team.
Dick visits the one and only Batman(Iain Glen), who hooks Dick’s team up with some Batman wisdom. Which leads to the reopening of the Titan Tower.
Wonder Girl/Donna Troy(Conor Leslie) and Starfire decided to hit the road together, forming their own Titans dual, which is really cool! These two didn’t get along at first, so it’s cool to see them together. It’s also nice to finally see Donna Troy in something Teen Titans related! She has always been one of my favorite Titans, and I’ve always felt that she didn’t get the recognition she deserves. Now, she is!
Hank/Hawk(Alan Ritchson) and Dawn/Dove(Minka Kelly) decided to continue as the loving, badass, fighting couple. They’re so sweet together.
So, now we sort of have the Old Titans and the New Titans. This season is really good so far. I enjoyed both episodes released. The latest episode showed the introduction of the Wilson family.
Badass Deathstroke(Esai Morales)is going to be the main villain, and that’s his daughter, Ravager(Chelsea Zhang), trying to get the hell away from him – this leads her right in the path of Dick’s Titans. Now, they better be careful. Deathstroke is not someone they want to battle. We’ve all seen the cartoon, right? He kicks their ass in every variation. Though again, they now have Wonder Girl! Look, you guys, I’m a HUGE fan of the Wonder family – bare with me!
Great start to season two! They still haven’t introduced Superboy, Aqualad, Cyborg, and Jericho(Deathstroke’s son). That goes to show how amazing the show is, and how well written the characters are. They haven’t introduced everyone, and yet, you’re still on the edge of your seat every week. At this point it’s like eating cake. You can’t just take one bite!
Titans premieres on the DC streaming app DC Universe. You do have to pay a fee, which can be monthly or yearly, and it’s worth it. It’s DC’s version of Netflix or Hulu. Again, it’s so worth it! There’s so much material on the app that you’ll always find something to watch, or read, as it also has comics. You can’t get that from any of the other apps, and plus, DC is awesome! Just sayin’! Titans airs every Friday. S2/EP 3 was released today, so I’ll be watching after work. Check out Titans everyone. It’s action packed with great fight scenes!!
